About the Foundation

Kyiv Mohyla Foundation seeks funding that will support the Kyiv Mohyla Academy's objectives and will foster programs through other universities and organizations. Alongside its pursuit of individual and corporate sponsors, KMF is undertaking program-funding proposals to U.S. and various international foundations and other institutions interested in post-Soviet Ukraine initiatives.

The continuing interest and financial participation of individuals, corporations and foundations will play a decisive role in determining and supporting the education and training of a new generation of young Ukrainians, who will ultimately decide the significant questions that are so important to this part of the world, and engage them in the process of forming a civil society within a social and political system that will benefit their own country within the global community.

Kyiv Mohyla Academy Foundation looks forward to your interest in its mission and invites the support of individuals, business organizations and foundations. Your inquiries, input and support are most welcome.

In its first years of existence, Kyiv Mohyla Foundation recruited considerable public interest among members of the Ukrainian-American community, but the Foundation also seeks the level of institutional interest and corporate funding, which will fully support the objectives and programs contemplated by Kyiv Mohyla Academy 's forward looking leadership.

What is KMF? . . .

The Kyiv Mohyla Foundation - (KMF) - is a nonprofit organization established to support, develop and sustain the work and efforts of the National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA) and other Ukrainian institutions of higher learning that promote excellence in education.

These institutions:

• Provide knowledge
• Examine ideas creatively, critically and comparatively, based on respect of past scholarship and traditions
• Continually renew themselves to reflect changes based on open societies, democracy, rule of law, free markets, tolerance and political as well as cultural pluralism.

KMF - A vision that leadership through education plays an essential role in the development of public and private governance.

The Kyiv Mohyla Foundation (KMF) reaches out to individual donors, volunteers, and partners. It allies itself with universities and institutions of higher learning worldwide, particularly in the United States of America. Together, we wish to bring forward excellence and a commitment toward educating the leaders of the future.

We formed an alliance of the KMF, with Donors, Partners and Volunteers to achieve our common goals – A Commitment to Help Educate Leaders with:

With time, commitment, clearly defined goals and resources, a group of individuals can reclaim the past, restore opportunity in the present, and guarantee a better future. Mutual synergy and a common sense of purpose guarantee success.
