Dr. Andriy Meleshevych served as President of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (2014-2019), held a Ph.D. from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University in the U.S. He was awarded a visiting fellowship at Stanford University in 2010 and served as visiting professor at Heidelberg University in Germany, at Syracuse University in the U.S., and Yerevan University in Armenia. He widely published internationally in the fields of European human rights law, institution-building in the post-Soviet transitional countries, political consequences of electoral laws and executive-legislative arrangements, political parties, comparative constitutions, constitutional law, and philosophy of law. Prior to his election as president of NaUKMA, Dr. Meleshevych was dean of the Kyiv-Mohyla School of Law and served on its faculty.
