Ihor Wyslotsky served as founder and president of the Kyiv-Mohyla Foundation from 2002 until 2005. Mr. Wyslotsky was an early supporter of the re-establishment of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in 1991 and devoted himself to strengthening the university’s future. He made substantial personal contributions to the university and hosted countless delegations of faculty and students from the university during their U.S. stays. As an engineer and developer with over 50 US patents, he was particularly supportive of the university’s departments of science and economics and encouraged the university to support technology development. With Jaroslawa Zelinsky Johnson he was co-founder of the America Ukraine Business Council in 1991. He was also co-founder and former president of the Ukrainian Studies Committee at the University of Illinois, a contributor to the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute (HURI), and served as a member of the Working Committee for Ukraine at the Center of Strategic International Studies (CSIS).
