Yuriy Gorodnichenko, Ph.D., is an associate professor with tenure at the Department of Economics, University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Gorodnichenko is a graduate of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, where he received his undergraduate degree in economics with high honors. He then continued his studies in the United States receiving a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Michigan. He serves as editor of “Review of Economics and Statistics”, associate editor of “Journal of Monetary Economics”, visiting scholar at Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, and holds many other positions. 

In Ukraine, he served as a research assistant at the Ministry of Finance, a consultant at the Harvard Institute for International Development in Ukraine, and is a member of the International Academic Board of the Kyiv School of Economics.
